Children should read this book because it will make them love reading, They will love the Fairy-Tale format. They will LOVE the illustrations. They will love the meter and rhyme scheme. They will love the vocabulary. It will make them happy to read it over and over again, to memorize it and read it or recite it to someone else. They will love the fact that it is about a young person their own age. There is magic and romance; a mean, wicked witch; a King and a Prince, a castle; a coach of pure gold; and rats! Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? It is. But the best part is the end, especially for young girls.
